Freddi Schneider is a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, also known as MICA, with a BFA in Art Teacher Education. While earning a teaching degree she was taught the full gamut of artistic mediums, from photography to pottery; sculpture to painting. Instead of teaching Art, Freddi has chosen to create art for people using her well learned and favorite techniques. She most enjoys creating images of nature and wildlife using watercolor or acrylic painting, or hand etching the images on stone using an engraver. Freddi also uses photography to capture some of Mother Nature's finest work instead of trying to recreate it by hand which might only result in a pale imitation.
Freddi lives in West Rutland, Vermont.
